 The St. Augustine Tower is located in Old Goa. St. Augustine tower is just 500meters from the famous Basilica church of Old Goa.  The st. Augustine tower has 46 meter height. Construction of the building began more than 400 years ago and was completed between  1597 and 1602. It is one of the most iconic landmarks in Goa. Tower of St. Augustine is a must-see for anyone visiting Goa. This is a historic and magnificent monument that gives visitors a glimpse of Goa's rich past. You can take beautiful pictures here. It is a church built by the Portuguese and has a very beautiful structure, currently maintained by the ASI Archaeological Survey of India and has now lost its original structure due to natural disasters. Try to avoid visiting during the monsoon season as the surroundings are slippery and messy. You do not need any ticket to visit this church, it is absolutely free. The tower is open to the public from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM every day. The tower can get crowded during peak hours, so it is best to visit early in the morning or late in the afternoon.


It is around 8.3 km from Panaji bus stand. Karmali railway station is very near to this church.
